About the Company

Clandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that has been involved in some of Ireland’s largest recent infrastructure projects including Ulster Canal Greenway, Limerick to Scarriff Greenway, Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin and N8 Dunkettle Interchange. CCC is dedicated to providing exceptional services in the execution of infrastructure projects and specialises in applying sound judgement in order to identify opportunities and provide solutions for our Clients.

 

Due to continuing success and growth of our business, CCC is now looking to recruit an Environmental Engineer \ Scientist.  The position can be based from either our Naas or Cork office.  Working on various transport, travel and water-based projects, the successful candidate will be supervised in the assessment of environmental constraints and impacts and in the production of associated reports.

 

Environmental Scientist – The role

  • Carry out environmental desk-top assessments;
  • Carry out site walkovers to determine environmental constraints;
  • Supervise the work of environmental sub-consultants employed by CCC;
  • Coordination and development of Environmental Screening Reports;
  • Coordination and development of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Strategic Environmental Assessments;
  • Undertake consultations with statutory bodies;
  • Supervise construction works in environmentally sensitive areas;
  • Engage with team of engineers and other environmental specialists; and
  • Any other duties, as deemed necessary, that fall within the remit and level of the position.

 

What you need – the skills and competencies

  • A sound understanding of the legislation which relates to environmental reporting.
  • Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Passionate about environmental science and the role of environmental engineer.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative as required
  • Current and continuing right to work in the Republic of Ireland
  • Willing to actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD)
