Limerick to Scarriff Greenway

Project Description

The Limerick to Scarriff Greenway which will form a key component of the broader Shannon Greenway and consists of a 40km long greenway between Limerick City and Scarriff which will connect to local communities including those in Cloonlara, O’Briensbridge, Killaloe, Ogonnelloe and Tuamgraney. It is identified as a signature project in the Shannon Tourism Masterplan as it would provide a gateway to and from the heart of Limerick City to Lough Derg and the Shannon.

Services Provided

CCC were appointed by Waterways Ireland to complete Phase 1 – Concept and Feasibility and Phase 2 Options Selection for the scheme.  CCC completed all Phase 1 and Phase 2 deliverables and also developed a Project Appraisal Report for the scheme.

Notable Achievements

CCC arranged and participated in 6 public consultation sessions across five locations, as part of the Option Selection Process, in addition to hosting on-line public consultations.
