CCC were directly responsible for the highways and geometry design. As Designer’s Site Representative, CCC carried out site supervision during the construction of the works.

Notable Achievements

CCC in a Joint Venture with Fehily Timoney Ltd developed the tender design which formed the basis of Roadbridge’s successful tender.  During the detailed design phase of the project, CCC introduced a range of design initiatives that significantly reduced construction quantities and the associated carbon footprint of the scheme.  Of note was a 82km3 reduction in embankment volumes post-tender and the removal of 16.8km of piped drainage, which were typically replaced with Nature Based Drainage Solutions.
